Choice Egg Noodles Co Ltd is a New Zealand company which specialises in the manufacture of Asian-style Noodles and Pastries. The company was founded in 1968 by brothers Jud & Tommy Choy, early migrants to New Zealand from China. They saw a demand in the market initially from the local Chinese population for food products from their homeland.
The growing Asian population and increasing popularity of Asian cuisine in NZ has seen the business evolve over the years. The product range has been expanded from the original three core products of Egg Noodles, Wonton Pastry & Crispy Noodles to over 20 products to cater to a wider range of palates, including Japanese Ramen, Chinese Pancakes and Wheat Noodles.
The company may have changed over the years but three key things remain. We proudly continue to be family affair and are now run by the 3rd generation of Choy’s who closely oversee all aspects of the operations. Production remains based in New Zealand in our large purpose-equipped facility in Otahuhu, Auckland. More importantly we continue to manufacture authentic, high quality and tasty products which the “Choice” brand has been synonymous with.
